Eating fish just once a month can cut a man’s stroke risk by more than 40%, according to a recent study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. The study focused on ischemic strokes (caused when a blood clot blocks an artery). The omega-3 fatty acids in fish thwart strokes by helping to prevent blood clots.
