Midlife is also a good time to finally learn a relaxation technique such as meditation, progressive muscular relaxation or visualization, or take up a pastime that relaxes you. The changes that often occur during this period of life-the empty nest, career disruptions, divorce-can be especially stressful, so it’s worthwhile trying to identify and neutralize sources of negative stress now.
