To keep a positive attitude about arthritis try practicing positive self talk. What you say to yourself on a daily basis often determines your outlook on life and how you act. To change negative self talk to positive follow these steps:

*List you negative statements, then change those statements to positive ones. For example, “I don’t feel like exercising today” may be changed to “I don’t feel like exercising today, but I know I’ll fell better afterward and fall asleep easier.”

*Always practice positive self-talk, it may seem awkward at first, but you’ll soon realize what the difference it can make.
