Tip of the Day

If you have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and/or fibromyalgia (FM), it is important to find a physician who does not take your symptoms for granted. If you experience troublesome symptoms and your doctor dismisses them as part of FM or CFS, it wouldn’t hurt to start interviewing new physicians. You may have a problem unrelated to FM or CFS, such as a pinched nerve that causes sciatic pain. The FM or CFS will amplify that pain. If you simply assume that the pain is coming from FM or CFS, then the underlying problem and cause of your pain will go untreated, leading to a vicious cycle of pain. And until that problem is treated, your FM or CFS will continue to be aggravated by it, and vice versa.
