If you eat a “balanced” diet, you may ingest as much as 90 times the acceptable limit of exposure to persistent organic pollutants (POPs). If you eat organic produce exclusively, you may be getting as much as 50% fewer traces of POPs and other pesticides in your diets, according to analysis of U.S. government data.
