Pictures you've seen might have looked downright scary with poses that hurt just to look at. However, there are yoga classes for all levels of fitness. Of all the physical therapies fibromyalgics try, yoga is the one that gets the most rave reviews, because of its combination of stretching and mental relaxation. The National Yoga Alliance will refer you to registered teachers in your area (visit www.yogaalliance.com) or you can look for classes in your area. Be clear that you want to start gentle classes, and talk to the instructor before you begin any class.
