Tip of the Day

According to Jacob Teitelbaum, M.D., in his popular book From Fatigued to Fantastic, "An important component of CFS is disordered immune function. Your body may chronically think it is fighting an infection that is already gone, and this contributes to the symptoms. Since the immune system is not working well, people get repeated infections such as sinusitis and other respiratory infections, bladder infections, bowel infections, and yeast overgrowth. These must all be treated at the same time, avoiding excessive antibiotic use. Treating the hormonal, nutritional, and fibromyalgia problems simultaneously often results in a dramatic decrease in infections, improved immune function, and an enhanced sense of well-being."
