Tip of the Day

CFS patient Trixie Whitmore writes, "Keeping your bedroom free from toxic chemicals is all-important as so much is absorbed while we sleep. Be careful when buying a new mattress, as some are treated with moth-proofing and conditioning chemicals – choose one which does not smell. Mattress casings are available as well as cotton pillows, blankets and quilts, but they can be expensive. Alternatively, put two large blankets over the mattress, tucking them in well, and then two cotton sheets – this should do the trick. Put mattresses out in the sun to air as much as possible."
