Paul Cheney, M.D., believes that Klonopin (clonazepam), a useful drug for brain injury, is neuroprotective and should be taken in small doses at night for sleep and very small doses during the day for increased alertness. He also suggests the use of calcium channel blockers and magnesium, which acts as a calcium channel blocker in neurological disease.
