Tip of the Day

If you experience pain in your lower back after standing or walking you may want to take a look at the shoes you wear. High heels or heels that are unevenly worn can alter your posture and put unnecessary stress on the body in the lower back and knee joints. In addition to buying comfortable supportive shoes, orthotic devices can be placed into the shoe to help ensure that your foot lands on the ground evenly. Many ready made devices such as Dr. Scholls Insoles are widely available or you can have inserts specially designed by a physical therapist for your needs.
