Foot pain can be an especially difficult aspect of arthritis. The following tips offer some easy ways to help treat your feet right.
* Wash your feet daily in luke warm soapy water, and dry them thoroughly especially between the toes. You can also apply moisturizers or creams, but use sparingly in between toes.
*Remove any hard skin you may have with a pumice stone or a file, but be careful not to use pumice or a file over a joint.
* Trim toe nails with a nail trimmer. Cut them straight across and not too short. Do not cut down the corner as this may lead to an ingrown nail.
* See your doctor or podiatrist if your nails become thick, tough or discolored; you have excessive dry or peeling of the skin; or you have itchy skin which may indicate a fungal infection.
