fund the National Pain Strategy.
Federal officials, legislators and policy makers need to know how chronic pain affects your life and if you are getting appropriate healthcare for pain management and relief or are experiencing barriers to care. Telling your story can affect their policy decisions and new areas of research. Being as open as possible in your story will help legislators understand the impact of living with a chronic pain illness.
Advocates are meeting with members of Congress now and urgently need you to please:
Sign the letters to your Senators and Representatives here:
Tell your story by 6/17 here: http://yourvoicematters.info/submit-your-story.
Your responses will be combined with others and hand-delivered to members of Congress between June 15-17. Letters received after that date will be delivered on bi-monthly intervals. To be effective, we estimate that 10,000 responses are needed to be representative of how chronic pain affects people’s lives in the United States.
Please ask others you know to help in this major initiative by:
telling their story on yourvoicematters.info and
signing the Congressional letters online.
Every voice matters!
Thank you for your support in this important initiative.
