VIDEO: New Study Suggests Health Risks of Genetically Engineered Foods

Nutrition expert Joseph Mercola, MD, reports on a new study indicating the potential health effects of genetically modified food crops are much more serious than the industry’s initial short-term animal trials suggested. The study focuses on genetically modified ‘Roundup Ready’ corn, which can not be killed by the herbicide Roundup, allowing the toxin to spraying over the growing corn without crop loss. The French researchers, who followed rats through their life span, report the effects on animals fed Roundup Ready corn; another group fed corn and Roundup; and another fed organic (non-GMO) corn.
