Kim McCleary, president & CEO of the CFIDS Association of America, presented the results of a survey at the Dec 14 FDA Blood Safety Advisory Committee meeting in Washington.

The CAA’s online survey on possible ME/CFS risk factors included questions on blood transfusions and blood donations – and the results were disquieting given the possibility that XMRV-related retroviruses could be transmitted in blood. See the Dec 15 Wall Street Journal article “How Common is it for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Patients to Give Blood?” by Katherine Hobson.

Hobson's article links to the script of Kim’s testimony on the CFIDS Assoc facebook.
