Description
Saventaro® is a special, patented form of Cat’s Claw (Uncaria tomentosa). Cat’s Claw is a vine deriving its name from hook-like thorns that resemble the claws of a cat. It grows in the tropical rainforests of South and Central America. Saventaro® has been clinically studied to support healthy immune function.*
How is Saventaro® different than other Cat’s Claw products? In nature, Cat’s Claw occurs in two distinct chemical compositions: one containing beneficial pentacyclic oxindole alkaloids (POAs), and another containing tetracyclic oxindole alkaloids (TOAs), which can have undesirable health effects. The highest concentration of helpful compounds is found in the roots of the vine. Saventaro® is harvested from rootstock and uses a patented extraction method that guarantees it contains only POAs, which possess clinically demonstrated immune-modulating properties.* Why use a POA (Pentacyclic Alkaloid) cat’s claw extract? It supports critical immune-system activity.* POA cat’s claw has been shown to support components of a healthy immune system, including important T-cells.* Saventaro® is a unique, patented extract of cat’s claw. It is a standardized extract free of harmful levels of certain substances, called tetracyclic oxindole alkaloids (or “TOAs”), commonly found in traditional cat’s claw extracts. Saventaro® is a sustainably-harvested form of cat’s claw. The powerful plants used in Saventaro® come to us through the generosity of the Ashaninka people of Peru. In return, a percentage of the proceeds goes toward financial support for education, medical care and the vital protection of their rainforest lands. Saventaro® supports healthy B- and T- cell development.* It is the only patented cat’s claw extract to support both the natural and acquired immune systems.* Saventaro® supports joint health too.* It provides beneficial POAs, which are potent antioxidants and supports joint health.* *These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.
