On Monday, November 28, Norway’s TV2 News reported the announcement by Norwegian Health Minister Anne-Grete Strom-Erichsen that Norway had granted '2 million' (presumably kroner, which translates roughly to $350,000) to further the expanded studies of rituximab therapy for ME/CFS patients being directed by Prof. Olav Mella and Dr. Oystein Fluge.

The initial trial, indicating a therapeutic benefit for many study participants and conducted at Haukeland University Hospital, was reported Oct 19 in the journal PLoS One.)

Health Minister Strom-Erichsen also revealed to TV2 News that Norway plans to establish a new “National Centre for ME” which will become part of Oslo University.
