Join the Big ME/CFS Research Webinar April 7-8 for 'State of the Knowledge' Presentations

A two-day State of the Knowledge Workshop for ME/CFS Research will be held & webcasted for public viewing Thurs & Fri April 7-8 from 8 to 5 Eastern Time. It is hosted by the Trans-NIH ME/CFS Research Working Group.
 
In a related article - “Unlocking Chronic Fatigue Syndrome” - posted March 22, Wall Street Journal health reporter Amy Dockser Marcus highlights some of the ME/CFS research issues currently in play, noting:

“More than 100 scientists, researchers and advocates are expected to gather at the NIH workshop in Bethesda, Maryland,” to share information on that emphasizes medical and biological topics, by contrast with “the last NIH scientific workshop, in 2003, [which] had more emphasis on the psychological aspects of the disease, including stress, insomnia and depression.”

To view the webcast - The workshop will be webcasted for public viewing on Apr 7 & 8 at http://videocast.nih.gov.

The workshop objective - to “Bring together subject matter experts who will discuss multiple aspects of ME/CFS, including epidemiology, etiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment. The workshop panelists will identify gaps in knowledge and opportunities for advancing biomedical research.”
