This great, happy video of a 24-hour endurance bike race in the Zuni mountains of New Mexico was created by Ken Holmes. True to the vision of race organizer & ME/CFS patient Claudia Goodell, the race and large campground community (now in its second year, with a national pack of 324 riders) is a fun way to raise money, present a positive image of ME/CFS, and include patients/ families who are able to attend and enjoy.
The title of the race, now an annual event: 24 Hours in the Enchanted Forest - A Race to Solve CFS.
"As a former mountain biker, I felt sad not to be able to ride anymore," says video artist Ken Holmes, "but I also felt a sense of elation at watching so many healthy people learn about CFS, contribute to research, and ride for those of us that cannot." (You'll see him on a mobility scooter in a split-second cameo appearance right at the end.) To all the organizers and participants we say, well done!

This is great! A dream I head in mind is coming true, although for somebody else but in the interest of many of us. As a sufferer of CFS, beyond being a doctor an a former sportsman myself, I appreciate that somebody managed to do what I tried to do as well, but people around me discouraged about it saying that.."people may misunderstand CFS and think that we are not sick". Being sick means being still able to cope and hope, otherwise we would be dead. I'm trying to do the same at an artistic level. You can keep in touch with me in facebook (Dottor Rap)or on my web site www.alter-eco.it, or send me email at email@example.com. Thank you again MR. Ken and the organizers!
