Tip of the Day

Dear subscriber: We will be discontinuing our Tip of the Day emails as of Friday July 9th, and encourage you – if you aren’t already a subscriber - to sign up for our biweekly general health email news bulletin by clicking here: ProHealth.com Bulletin Signup, which will include a helpful “Tip of the Week” along with invaluable health and treatment news. We appreciate your support of our daily tips, and hope you will continue to make us your health information resource. Sincerely, The ProHealth Team Today's Tip: Foods full of phytoestrogens (plant "estrogens") can benefit your heart and bones and ease some menopausal irritations. Be sure you're getting the recommended amounts of calcium, B vitamins and antioxidant vitamins and minerals through food or supplements; you need more of these micronutrients as you age. Midlife is also a good time to finally learn a relaxation technique such as meditation, progressive muscular relaxation or visualization, or take up a pastime that relaxes you. The changes that often occur during this period of life-the empty nest, career disruptions, divorce-can be especially stressful, so it's worthwhile trying to identify and neutralize sources of negative stress now.
