A study sponsored by DePaul University in Chicago is asking women with Fibromyalgia and/or chronic low back pain to complete a confidential and anonymous 225-question survey.
The study – “Assessing Attitudes Toward Health and Health Care” – is being conducted as part of DePaul’s Conventional and Alternative Care Treatment of Chronic Pain program.
Participation in the survey will help build a profile of patient demographics, experiences, attitudes, and behaviors, explains survey coordinator Cordelia Holbert. All information will be used to provide physicians with a better understanding of patients’ needs in order to provide them better treatment and healthcare services. Participants will also be able to receive a summary of the overall survey results and what they mean.
Those who wish to contribute to this valuable research database may complete the questionnaire online by going to http://www.itd.depaul.edu/quickdata2/viewwebform.asp?id=2796 About 60 to 90 minutes will be required to complete the survey, though users may take breaks as needed.
