2008 schedule for Faces of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome traveling photo exhibit published

January 4, 2008

"The Faces of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome" - the traveling photo exhibit created as part of a national health education initiative sponsored by the CFIDS Association of America and CDC, will be on public display at Amtrak's 30th Street Station in Philadelphia from Jan. 14 to 21.

Other venues scheduled to date for 2008 include Portland in February, Tampa in April, San Antonio in May, Baltimore in June, and Macon in September. For the dates and locations of these and other appearances, visit Spark! a CFIDS Association website dedicated to "The Campaign to ignite CFS Awareness" (scroll down).

The Exhibit features the portraits and stories of ME/CFS patients, family members, and health care professionals - and demonstrates that ME/CFS affects people of all ages in all walks of life. ME/CFS patients whose portraits are featured include Brian Bernard, Rich Carson, Wilhelmina Jenkins, Jacqueline Niederle, Meaghan Peterson, Kathy Rabin, Adrianne Ryan, and Vivian Treves. ME/CFS clinical researchers Dr. Anthony Komaroff and Dr. David Bell are also featured.

The Spark! site also offers a great deal of information about and for ME/CFS patients, such as a collection of personal stories.
