Is NMN Supplementation Backed by Science?

Is NMN Supplementation Backed by Science?

For Uthever® NMN specifically, yes: there's a real, published, peer-reviewed human clinical trial behind it. For NMN as a category, the evidence is much thinner.

Most of what gets marketed as "NMN research" is still preclinical, cell studies or animal models, not human trials. That's part of why the category attracts skepticism, and why it's worth being specific about which NMN a study actually tested.

Uthever® NMN, the ingredient ProHealth uses in NMN Pro™ 1000, is the exception. It was tested in a multicentre, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial published in Frontiers in Aging (2022). Seventy adults were screened and 66 randomized; participants taking 300 mg of Uthever® NMN daily for 60 days saw their NAD+/NADH levels rise 11.3% by day 30 and 38% from baseline by day 60, a meaningfully larger increase than the placebo group over the same period.

The honest short version: real human evidence exists, it's specific to one branded ingredient, and it's worth weighing alongside its limitations rather than treating it as proof the entire NMN category works.
