ProHealth Longevity pairs an unusually personal founding story with a science-first approach to formulation.

The company was founded in 1988 by Rich Carson, after he was diagnosed with ME/CFS (myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome). He started ProHealth to give other patients access to the supplements that had helped him and others manage similar chronic illness, which is where our long-standing motto, "Commerce with Compassion," comes from. Since then, ProHealth has donated close to $5 million toward medical research and patient advocacy for ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, and Lyme disease, and has held a Better Business Bureau A+ rating for 38+ years.

After spending our first three decades focused on that patient community, we expanded into longevity supplementation as ProHealth Longevity, a natural extension of the same mission: helping people live not just longer, but with more usable, vibrant years. Our own language for this is “healthspan over lifespan.”
